MESSAGE FROM REBBETZIN ROTTENBERG
Zeh LaZeh was founded a decade ago when my dear friend was widowed when her husband passed away after a lengthy and debilitating illness. As an intimate friend, I witnessed first hand, not only her pain and suffering, but also her intense feelings of isolation.
Despite the many charity organizations that abound and the sincere desire to be of assistance, there is an invisible, almost impenetrable screen that keeps people at bay from helping widows and orphans. There seems to be tremendous trepidation and hesitation to reach out to bereaved people, so that, in addition to the immense hardships suffered by a person who has lost a loved one, the person must also contend with a strong feeling of abandonment and isolation.
