As time proceeds, a most crucial project is to ensure the continued smooth and productive chinuch and education of the orphans. To accomplish this Zeh LaZeh selects and matches suitable adult tutors and role models who provide a listening ear to the children in grief and try to close the gap that has ripped their lives apart. These are usually fathers of children who have the necessary warmth and sensitivity while also possessing the psychological aptitude needed for this work. These carefully selected mentors, assist with the day to day progress of the children including helping with homework, preparing for tests and offering general guidance. They also act as liaisons with the schools to keep abreast of the children's welfare and progress and intervene to solve problems before they escalate out of control. This ensures that one unfortunate situation doesn't spiral into educational and developmental problems which would impair the success of the children and further stress the widows. Past experience has shown that these mentor programs yield proven success rates with the orphans who despite the trauma of losing their fathers, continue to do well in school and ,move on to higher level education with the confidence and self-image needed to get married and build their own homes. These hundreds of mentors are paid for their time but obviously no salary could ever suffice for their dedication and their indispensable work. CLICK HERE FOR PICTURES
