Twice a year, Zeh LaZeh arranges a long weekend at an exclusive hotel in Israel, one in the winter and one in the late spring, to allow the widows some respite from their overwhelming responsibilities. They can relax and enjoy themselves in a worry free environment where they are pampered in a luxury setting. The weekend is filled with trips, workshops and entertainment. The feeling of being together, the singing, dancing and speeches and the wonderful atmosphere at these getaways rejuvenates the widows and they go home recharged and invigorated, equipped to handle the day to day challenges that inevitably go hand in hand with widowhood. At the last Shabbaton all the guests came to their rooms to find a personalized elegant scarf with all the names of their children printed in design waiting for them. Mrs. F. said she was so touched, particularly because it had taken a lot of stamina and courage to leave her newly orphaned children for the first time, so that she could have a break from the 24/7 responsibilities and recharge herself.
